66 days left until Canoecopia 2009.
It can't be...time is moving in a non-linear fashion, I swear it's speeding up. We are still adding exhibitors as they sign in, and there is a little space left, but we'll be full soon. We will be updating the speaker lists and schedules, but we want to wait until the gazette mails in January.
We had a nice, quiet holiday, except for the internet giving us fits, taking down the credit card processing for a day on 12/23. We relearned how to use the old fashioned credit card imprinters. Annie has been burning up the phone lines, getting advertising contracts and ads coming in (after the deadline -- a lot of you owe Annie chocolate). Nancy's finalizing speaker placement in the grid. Mary has been sick so there's a stack of paperwork I need to enter into the system and place more booths in the floorplan.
We've also been unloading boats...lots of them. Seems some of our smarter manufacturers have learned that we have warehouse space, and to get inventory down and receivables up (something all banks like), they can ship boats in December the same as February. We don't care, it's nice to see the new boats coming in.
Johnny and Sasha are working on the volunteer list, so if you're interested in helping out at the show, give Sasha a call at the shop (608) 223-9300 and we'll add you to the list...there are definitely benefits of being a volunteer (besides the cool t-shirt).
About the Canoecopia blog: We've added web blog (a.k.a. "blog") to keep the front page visually a little cleaner as we add more Canoecopia news. It also allows you to post pictures or stories from past Canoecopias. So go to canoecopia.blogspot.com for canoecopia updates.
The Gazette mails in January! To add your name to our mailing list for Canoecopia 2009 here's the page to go to: Add Me. We will add you to the list for next year!
| For those of you interested in financing through GE Finance, you may apply here. 90 Days No Interest, No Payments, or 180 Days No Interest, Small Payments. You can decide on that later. Cheers.
