Dave Tobey is a District Interpretive Ranger at trhe Ozark National Scenic Riverways. In 1982 Dave served as a Park Naturalist for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Later that year he started a long career as an educator and coach in Missouri for thirty-one years. Upon retirement from the classroom he once again picked up the NPS flathat for the ONSR before moving to Florida as an Education Ranger in the Swamp at Big Cypress National Preserve and as a Visitor Services Assistant for the U.S. Forest Service in the Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest in Washington. Once again serving as a District Interpretive Ranger on the Current River his days are spent in Round Spring Cave, paddling the Current River, or sharing the magic of Ozark springs feeding this river system by supplying millions of gallons of cold water.
